In my January article I wanted to touch on a few of the areas graphic designers needed to be aware of when tasked to design from print to online design. My introduction stated:
"For those of us who began our design careers with layout markers, Rapidograph pens, triangles and T-squares, the arrival of the desktop computer as a design tool has been both an improvement and a challenge. There are important factors to consider before taking that initial leap into Web design. This article offers some insight into those challenges as well as tips for overcoming them."
I would like to hear from all of you that have any questions, suggestions, or comments about the article. If you would like to have future articles on this subject, please let me know.

I am not a printer but deal with plenty of them. I have often heard a compliant from printers about very young graphic designers. The compliant is they are not classically trained and only have an understanding of the digital world so, at times, their designs for print pieces cannot be produced in a cost effective way. Something to consider when dealing with designers on your next project. If it's a print piece, consult a printer early in the process to be sure the item can be produced. Often printers have good suggestions on how to improve the design or make it less expensive
